TATEMS: Fleet Maintenance Software - Update 7-15-2005 to 3.1.00XP
Just a quick note to announce the release to TATEMS 2005 3.1.00XP
If you are already running a licensed copy of TATEMS 2005 then this release will require a new you to acquire a new registration number.
This is to prevent any unauthorized access to the new releases after the 1 year of no cost version updates has expired.
To minimize any inconvenience to you, this release will give you 10 days to acquire the new registration number.
If you are in your trial period then the trial period will continue with the same number of days you had remaining before the update.
You will need to email your serial number along the version number and your company information or purchase information so that I can verify eligibility and email the new registration number back to you.
Remember, you don't need to apply all previous updates in order to update TATEMS 2005 Fleet Maintenance Software.
So if you missed one you can just use the most current one.

This update will only work with TATEMS 2005
In this update I have added/fixed:
1. Added Equipment Type dropdown selector so that you can create different inspection lists based on equipment type and also filter the search by equipment type
2. Added ability to copy inspection items from one equipment type to another to speed up data entry
3. Improved Parts Inventory Reminder so that the reminder is triggered when the inventory gets to the specified minimum level before re-order
4. Added ability to choose how far in advance to be notified for Odometer, Hours and Days reminders
5. Added Equipment Location - Area or Department Report
6. Added Charge Sales Tax For Work Order Labor Option in My Company Information
7. Added Date Criteria to Work Order Reports in More Reports so that you can see all work orders in a specified date range.
8. Added Current Hours in the Lube Section of the Reminders Printout
9. Added Manufacturer to Parts For This Equipment Tab.
10. Added Manufacturer to Work Order Parts Screen
11. Added ability to print off the inspections items list for each piece equipment with a button on the reminders screen. They can then be handed out to technician for completion.
12. Added Customer Num and Contact Name fields to Customer Screen.
13. Expanded the Search List from 3 to 8 lines. You can still use the program with an 800 x 600 screen it without having to scroll left right, it's optimized for a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768
14. Added Unit Information Printout that gives you an overview of the Unit for your file and the DOT inspector to look at
15. Added new data fields Number Of Axles, Number Seats, Purchase Price, Insurance Amt, Other Fixed Cost, License Fees, Depreciation, Base License State, Owner, Combined Gross Weight
16. Added New data fields Lift Axle Equipped, 2 Axle Truck Pulls Trailer, 2 Axle Truck Pulls 5th Wheel, Reefer PTO Equipped, Unit Hauling Logs
17. Improved Fuel Log Update to eliminate Parent Property Error
18. Improved Update Now button so that Lube Services are still displayed after clicking
19. Improved 30 Day Due report so that Next Registration Due counts months instead of Days
20. Improved Inspection list double click when nothing is listed so that error is not generated

Always make sure you make a backup copy of your data before updating.
The data file to backup is called
TATEMS2005be.mdb and is normally located in the:
C:\Program Files\TATEMS 2005
Folder.
You can just right click on the file and choose copy and then paste it back into the same folder or another folder to create a backup copy.
There is also a backup feature in TATEMS 2005 if you go to File->Backup and Compact Data

This update requires that you have TATEMS 2005 installed on your computer.

Make sure TATEMS is closed and then after downloading the file you can double click it to unzip the files:
into:
C:\Program Files\TATEMS 2005
If you are UPDATING TATEMS on a NETWORK you will need to re-link to the data file after the update by going to
Tools->Networking
If you go to Tools ->Networking before updating you will be able to see where the data file is located. Write down the path and then use that information after the update to re-link to the data file.
You should always update TATEMS on every workstation on your network, one after another, not at the exact same time... and don't allow any users to use an old version after an update has been done on any workstation on the network.
